Private sessions are tailored specifically for you!
Sessions are planned based on your specific fitness level, injuries, goals and interests.
You will progress more quickly due to the attention you are offered, precise cueing, feedback and corrections. -
Clinical pilates is specifically designed as a form rehabilitation designed by Physiotherapists. Clinical Pilates treats injuries, pain or post-surgical conditions.
‘General’ Pilates is more focussed on overall strengthening and conditioning.

This is a very common mindset and concern for people new to any form of exercise, in particular, Pilates.
You don’t need to be fit or flexible to start Pilates training. We will start with beginner movements, tailored to your current health and fitness level. Over time you will start to notice your fitness and flexibility drastically improve.

In some aspects Yoga & Pilates align. Both practices are low impact and help to improve mind body connection.
Pilates differs as it has more of a focus on strengthening, whereas Yoga has more focus on increasing flexibility and mental wellbeing.
Pilates practice uses smaller, concise movements and less repetitions than Yoga.
Lastly, Pilates uses more equipment than Yoga and offers movement across various apparatus.

This is completely dependent on your goals, availability, lifestyle and finances.
Ideally I see you once a week to maintain progression and improvement. -
Life is a lot and we are constantly needing to adjust things to stay afloat, something I understand well.
My cancellation policy allows you to reschedule or cancel outside of the 48 hour timeframe.

Unfortunately I can’t allow children in the studio. The studio is small with various apparatus, they could easily hurt themselves.
Secondly, I would love for you. to be able to focus on your training!

Absolutely! When booking your first session I will ask you to fill out an intake form, if you are pregnant or post partum, you can use this form to give me details.
I will keep you very safe and get you moving within your abilities. -

Absolutely fair, the Reformer is not the most inviting of apparatus with all it’s ropes, straps, moving components, don’t worry, by the end of your first session your fear will be gone and you will be craving more!
It’s very addictive and I’ll be with you every step of the way.
If you would prefer, you can book in a Mat session before moving to the Reformer.

Yup, same! Pilates and ADHD go together like strawberries and cream, it’s a winner.
You may notice that your focus and ability to concentrate increases, your anxiety and overstimulation decrease, and also your ability to ‘snap’ into yourself improves.I couldn’t recommend Pilates for help with ADHD more!

It’s neither nor. Pilates is a complete system! Traditionally we learn the fundamentals on the mat then move to reformer for a more varied array or movements.
Mat Pilates is focussed on using body weight, Reformer can help with guided assistance and joint support due to the spring resistance mechanism.
